This is a wonderful and large miter box that I had to purchase to bevel 2.5″ high walls for a scaled architectural model. You will not find miter boxes of this extent in hobby shops (Hobby Lobby) and major “home” stores (Lowe’s/Home Depot).
It works great, but I do have a word of caution: if you are doing high-precision beveling work with this apparatus, you better have your cutting utensil figured out as very few precision blades can fit into that narrow deep slot. Unless you are planning on using a kitchen knife or something.
I bought the deeper variant of the product. It love that it is metal and not the cheap plastic junk from Harbor Freight and Lowe’s/Home Depot.
Bought this miter box thinking since it was a large I would be able to cut just about anything with it.NOT.The box does not even fit a 2×4.Not even close.I would hate to see the small miter box! Did not work for me.Sent it back.
