It is also ideal for reading hidden text written with UV-reactive ink pens. Check currency bills, identification, etc. Detects all 3 colors of bank note security fluorescent filaments. Philately – Identify fluorescent tagging on stamps of most countries. Criminology & Mineralogy. Antiques – Spot fakes and easily test glass, china, cast iron, crystal, pottery, etc. Security inks / check documents. Minerals, Gems, and Diamonds – Over 200 minerals react under UV light with wonderful color changes. Admission Gates – Read UV ink stamps. The Coleman 5308-700 Widebeam 4D Dual-action Flashlight provides a bright, portable light for any occasion. This dual-action flashlight has a regular path light that gives you a center-spot of light with a softer perimeter of light, plus a seven-watt U-tube fluorescent area light to brighten a work area. The Coleman Widebeam also has a flat surface base which allows the light to stand up-right when using the area lighting function. The regular flashlight beam is 50-percent broader than traditional flashlights, and the use of a Xenon blue-tipped bulb provides a whiter light.
